Early this year L’Observatore Romano published an article on the widespread exploitation of nuns in the Catholic Church. It was received with some surprise coming as it did from the Vatican. The article elicited responses from individuals, priests and sisters, concurring with the content of the article and expressing regret that these problems were ignored by the hierarchy.
