Recently, Fr. Konrad Noronha SJ, the director of the Centre for Safeguarding and Human Formation, organized a Conference on gender sensitization. It was an opportunity to listen to and learn from a wide spectrum of experts, especially women, and also some women victims of injustice. I felt that it was not only a time of introspection, renewal and healing, but also to enhance our capacity to empathize with, accompany and empower people who suffer.
