The parishioners loved Augustine; he was their Pastor who built their church and the community. He was born on 15 July 1968 in Sangargalli. He did his novitiate at XTC-Desur (1992-1994), Juniorate in Kathmandu, Philosophy at JDV-Pune (1995-1997), regency in Ajara (1997-1998), diploma in computer hardware at St. Joseph’s, Pune (1998–1999), theology at Vidyajyoti-Delhi (1999-2002) and ordained in Belgaum on 29 December 2002.

As Socius to the Novice Master (2003-2004), he helped in the youth ministry. As assistant Parish priest of Milagres Church and director of Youth Ministry (2004-2006) in Khanapur, he brought change and unity. As the Parish Priest of St. Anthony’s Church, Gadhinglaj (2006-2013), he built the church cum hall and presbytery. He fostered unity among the parishioners. He did his Tertianship in Shembaganur, Tamilnadu (2008).

As Parish priest of Milagres Church, Khanapur (2013-2019), Superior in 2017, district coordinator in 2018, and director of Technical Institute in 2019, he ensured that the Jesuits shared their ideas and plans for the mission. He reconstructed the Milagres Church by working with the parishioners. The clergy and religious of the Belgaum Diocese considered him a model of dedication. As Dean of Khanapur and consultor to the Bishop of Belgaum, the priests looked up to him for inspiration. He took his final vows on 15 July 2018.

As consultor of the Province (from 5 October 2018) he contributed towards the governance of the province. As administrator of Xavier Retreat House-Baga (June 2020-May 2023), he committedly re-constructed it. From 01 June 2023, being missioned for a second stint to St. Anthony’s Church, he had great plans to execute but God had other designs for him. A cardiac arrest led to his death on 25 July 2023. His earthly journey was rooted in service. He labored for God’s greater glory through his life and mission.
