In today’s world of science and technology, the advancements should be focused on the needs of the people and Jesuits, as men of learning, should work for enriching and enhancing the quality of lives of the people, especially the needy in society. Keeping this in mind, Loyola Institute of Frontier Energy (LIFE) at the Loyola campus in Chennai has been promoting research, not merely for the sake of advancing knowledge but mainly for application and use in day-to-day life.
The author is the Founder of Loyola Institute of Frontier Energy (LIFE). He is the Gasson Professor at Boston College, USA, for the academic year 2017-2018. He is the Global Vice President for Academics and Research in Jesuit Worldwide Learning (JWL) in Geneva.
