Is Jesuit education losing its Jesuit character?

I have no hesitation in asserting that Jesuit education is slowly losing its Jesuit character. The Ignacianidad of which Fr. Pedro Arrupe spoke seems to be totally absent in our schools. He wanted us to live and operate out of our own charism and leave a distinctive mark on the students. The Ratio Studiorum created a system of education that led to the then Jesuits being known as “the school masters of Europe.” The Characteristics of Jesuit Education (TCJE), if seriously and properly implemented, will leave a distinctive mark on our students.
