Herbal medicine has its origin in every home. The book of Wisdom says, “The Lord created the medicinal herbs which grow on the earth, and these a sensible person will not despise. The physician uses it to heal and comfort; the pharmacist to make his mixtures. In that way the Lord’s work never ceases, and wellbeing prevails on the earth” (Wis. 38, 4, 7 – 9).
