I have been away from my native village for about thirteen years. Recently I was sent to Arehalli for my village exposure programme before going for theology to RTEC (Regional Theological Extension Centre), Bangalore. Arehalli is about five kms from RTEC. There are 55 families in the village. People there are large-hearted and very welcoming. They eat what they grow. Their staple diet consists of ragi balls with vegetable curry.
