THE DESIRED FRUIT of the IGNATIAN YEAR

On May 21, 1521, IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA received a wound at the Battle of Pamplona that would lead to a deep transformation of his life. Inspired by the 500th anniversary of this event, the journalist Dar o Menor has conducted a substantial and detailed interview with Fr. Arturo Sosa, Superior General of the Society of Jesus, who reflects here in depth on the desired fruit of the “Year of Ignatius.”

Fr. Sosa’s observations about the situation of today’s world, the Catholic Church, and the commitment of the Society of Jesus to a mission of reconciliation and justice shaped by the Universal Apostolic Preferences, seek to do more than commemorate a particular date in history. Their aim is to point to the experience of St. Ignatius as an inspiration for the deep conversion process vital for any individual, Gujarat Sahitya Prakash group, or institution who longs to make the joyful news of Gujarat Sahitya Prakashthe Gospel present in our time.
