Father Placidius Kujur was a great pioneer missionary always ready to go and start new missions with new people and in new places. He was a spiritual and holy man who never missed Holy Mass and never compromised with his spiritual duties in his priestly life. He had strong faith and belief in God which was seen obviously in his practical and daily life. He had a special love, care and concern for the weak and poor people. He used to give special tuition classes and guidance to the students of the weaker sections.
He was a great visionary too. He lived a systematic life. Even for small activities and programs, he used to plan out well in advance. He loved to visit villagers and inspire them to send their children to school. He used to motivate his students to grow intellectually through giving seminars, training and teaching, so that they could live and stand by themselves and become good leaders.
He was a good scout master. He had special interest in scouts and loved to guide his students. Though both his legs were amputated, he went out with his wheel chair to teach students scouting. Though he was very strict and rough and tough in dealing with his students, from within he was a kind and soft-hearted person. Therefore, many of his students considered him their role model.
He wrote many articles for the Nishkalanka and other journals. He used to write about the life of great characters of the Bible, the current affairs and issues, history, and lives of great missionaries of Chotanagpur and Adivasis. He continued to have a strong will power till the end, by not allowing his physical incapability to overpower him.
