We are celebrating 150 years of Gandhi’s birth. We all know him as ‘Father of the Nation’ for the stupendous work of gaining independence for India from the mightiest empire through the unique and unprecedented method of non-violent struggle. Unfortunately, we have come a full circle. An arrogant president of another mighty empire recently declared another claimant of a majoritarian dictatorship as ‘father of the nation’. What a parody of celebrating 150 years of a noble birth!
