Teilhard de Chardin proposes a dynamic evolutionary theory in which the universe is evolving towards a final point – the Omega Point. He identifies Christ as the Omega Point in whom and towards whom the universe as a whole is marching. It is a communitarian march that requires human cooperation, responsibility and contribution. In Teilhard’s scheme of things, everyone is important – young and old, man and woman, weak and strong. Teilhard makes us realize how women, along with the rest of humanity, have an important role to play.
