The Jesuit Brother, Antonio Moscheni was born in the village Stezzano near Bergamo in Italy, in 1854. His natural talent for art was recognized and encouraged by his father, by sending him to the Academia Carrara to study under the great Master, Cesare Tallone, artist and teacher at the Academia. Later he went to Rome to study the works of the great masters like Michael Angelo. He was recognized as a world class painter for his paintings exhibited at the Exposition at Milan in 1883 and in Turin in 1884.
