The Covid-19 pandemic may be best described as a disaster which began in Wuhan China and has now spread to many countries in the world. A disaster is a sudden, calamitous event that seriously disrupts the functioning of a community or society and causes human, material, economic and environmental losses that exceed the community’s or society’s ability to cope using its own resources.
