About a hundred Jesuits gathered at Loyola, Spain, from 6 April to 21 May, 2023 for the Congregation of Procurators (CP 71). It is a formal gathering in which the delegates of Jesuit Provinces from all over the world pray and discern and vote – to call or not to call for a General Congregation. This core agenda remained unchanged. But it also provided an extraordinary platform for Fr General to present the State of the Society (De Statu Societatis), and for others to discuss, consult, listen and discern collectively.
