Jamshedpur Jesuit Province has been a missionary province where the Jesuits, sent on a mission, have realized the command of the Lord to preach the Good News to the people of the land. This brief account provides a glimpse of the Jesuit pastoral involvement in the present geographic area of Jamshedpur Province, spanning one hundred and fifty years. Thus, we count God’s manifold graces and remember the Jesuit stalwarts who discerned the will of God in their own times. Here begins the journey of hope with the arrival of the Jesuits immersed in pastoral ministry.
