In 2005, a transwoman, Noori, who ran an NGO, called Solomon to say “I have an abandoned child, he is HIV+”. Solomon was hesitant initially. Later he contacted many organisations only to get a negative response. He decided to visit the place where the six-year old Arputha was. Solomon listened to the horror story of how the whole family, his parents and siblings had all succumbed to the deadly virus.
