Fr. Stan Lourduswamy SJ, aged 83, who was working for the Adivasis of Jharkhand for more than three decades, was taken into custody and imprisoned on October 9th in the Taloja prison in Mumbai. Along with 15 others, he was charge-sheeted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) mainly for two crimes under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
