Ireturned from visiting the hospital, dog-tired and ravenously hungry. I collected my dinner from the hot box in the kitchen and ate in the reading room. The T. V. streamed news of the Corona situation in the main cities. Our government herds the infected into the Covid centers where the arrangement of beds, the food and the medical care are grossly inadequate. Knowing it, I admitted my Jesuit brother in the private hospital. It provides good care but bills are astronomical. I was quite eager to see how he is faring and to pray for him. He is put on the ventilator which is truly a money-sucking machine.
