Many symbols are part of our traditional ways of celebrating feasts. Thus we have the Christmas tree and the Easter egg. Many of our modern Easter eggs have become as barren as the unfertilized eggs now available at commercial hatcheries. They do not speak to us or proclaim any message to challenge us. They do not urge us enter the cave of our heart. Traditionally, an egg was the symbol of new life, a new possibility.
