The resistance and protest against CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) is gaining strength and depth. It is primarily a fight to preserve the soul of the Constitution of the country – the secular and democratic fabric of the Indian Constitution. It is not a fight for or against a particular community. It is a struggle to perpetuate the spirit of the freedom struggle; in that sense it is the second independence struggle. ‘Ázadi’ slogan stands justified.
