The modest purpose of these lines is to propose several ways of dealing with the issue of collaboration. I have made an attempt to understand critically the decisions taken by the last three General Congregations (GC) spanning the last 25 years. The main argument advanced is that Jesuit governance – including Superiors, Directors of Work, Provincials and Presidents of Conferences – has a decisive role to play in making collaboration our way of proceeding.
